Ynglet is proof that great things can come from terrible, world-ending disasters. As you and your fellow microbe-like pals watch a meteor hurtling towards your tiny home on the TV, a new world erupts the carnage - and it looks awfully like a cartoon town map you might find at your local tourist office. As you slither across this newfound land, portals gradually open up to eight worlds of floating shapes that fizz and pop with light, music and colour. Ynglet is a game about jumping between bubbles like you're a space-dolphin. You don't need me to go on, do you? Full disclosure: I pinched that description from the Steam page, but I needed it! I have absolutely no idea what's going on in the game. I'm a shape that swims along and jumps between what I now know are bubbles. What I'm doing there, I don't really know. Some meteor crashed into a scene you're likely to see in a microscope, and here we are. But the whys don't really matter. What matters is: it's fabulous. Dear all It’s been a week! And I just want to thank everyone who played and reviewed Ynglet! Ynglet started as a game jam experiment between me and Sara Sandberg (who has made graphics for several of my other games). I was still learning Unity, and wanted to experiment with its physics. Somehow I thought of Ecco the Dolphin, and wanted to try to make a game like that but with bubbles in the sky. I didn’t actually know Ecco already had this; in fact I had never played it at all, so the game jam experiment was more based on my idea what Ecco might have been like. In Ynglet, you play as a spindly, floaty jellyfish, zooming around a gorgeous doodle-filled world searching for your pals. Developed by Nifflas, the creator of Knytt and NightSky, you'll be platforming without platforms, and jumping about like "a space dolphin".
