Global supply chain issues have impacted the console release of Beyond a Steel Sky, publisher Microids has said. "Due to worldwide logistical issues and constraints beyond our control, the game's release date had to be postponed on some platforms in certain territories," Microids said in a note to press. This means in the UK, the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S and retail Nintendo Switch versions launch 7th December, while the digital Switch version launches earlier, on 30th November. WHAT WE FIXED: 4YR - U BEING SO DIFFICULT Right in the beginning of the game 4YR used to get stuck and there was no way to get around this. This has now been fixed, including in existing gamesaves - so no need to start over! Why did this happen: Every character has a floor angle they can travel on, and 4YR’s was set to 0. When 4YR experienced anything more than 0 he got anxious and told Unreal Engine that he was, in fact, currently falling. Beyond A Steel Sky is a 3D point-and-click adventure game which is the sequel to 1994’s 2D point-and-click-adventure game Beneath A Steel Sky. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t play the first one, although some knowledge is helpful. You play as Robert Foster, returning to a futuristic city-state he freed from an evil AI ten years ago, because new bad things are afoot (these involving kidnapping children from the land outside the city).
