GTA 6 finally got its second trailer today, along with a whole bunch of fresh details and screens showing off its key characters and the world of Leonida. As you were watching that trailer, though, you might have clocked a detail that's already get players hoping they'll be able to play some classic GTAs inside GTA 6 itself. Read more

We all know that Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas are PS2 classics, but apparently PlayStation made sure they were exclusive because it was afraid of Xbox. Read more

My hopes are high for GTA 6. We're going back to Vice City (albeit a reimagined, modernized version) and, based on Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar's ability to spin a convincing, epic crime drama has only gotten better in the past ten years. But the shadow of the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition still looms large over my memory. The 'improved' visuals effectively robbed GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas of all their identity and atmosphere. Forget the bugs and other technical problems - even when they were running correctly, the new versions of the classic Grand Theft Auto games just looked wors

Grand Theft Auto 6 promises a return to the sun-soaked, neon-lit streets of Vice City, and it's about time. We haven't had a tour of the town Tommy Vercetti once called home in almost 20 years - the original GTA Vice City arrived in 2002, while Vice City Stories followed in 2006. Although it's totally redesigned and reimagined, it'll be wonderful to once again set foot in the fictionalized version of Miami. In the meantime, however, one former Rockstar dev whose credits include GTA 3, San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto 4, shares the fascinating secret behind Vice City's seemingly psychic cops,

The endless creativity on show from the hacking and modding community never fails to impress. This time, we've got GTA Vice City being played on a modded TP-Link wireless router... Just the way that Rockstar intended. As one of the best PC games ever made, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City saw its popularity surge recently as it was rumored to be the setting for GTA 6, alas, this turned out to not be the case. Still, the remastered collection has seen Vice City hold up surprisingly well, but playing it on a wireless router? We're not even sure where to start with this. Read the rest of the story...

GTA developer Rockstar once had a go at making a zombie survival game set in Scotland using Vice City’s code, but quickly gave up because people found it too depressing a concept to keep working on. No, this isn’t satire. This project was apparently something Rockstar North’s developers worked on as a bit of a change of pace in between putting out the equally beloved Vice City and GTA San Andreas in the early 2000s. This is according to Dutch developer Obbe Vermeij, who served as the studio’s Technical Director between 1995 and 2009 and has recently decided to start a blog discussing what he w

GTA 6 is kind of a big deal. Few names are as industry-defining as the Grand Theft Auto series, so it's no surprise that we're all eagerly waiting to see exactly what Rockstar Games has in store for us next. But before the success of GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Bully, it was the trilogy of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas that truly elevated the company to, well, rockstar levels within the game industry, and if you've never experienced them yourself or simply fancy revisiting the classics, a new Steam sale is here to make it cheaper. Grand Theft Auto has long stood the test of time as one of the most iconic game series ever. Rockstar Games' long-lasting line of city-based criminal activity-focused experiences has just evolved even further with the company's new GTA+ subscription membership benefits. The developer just announced that all players subscribed will have access to a steadily changing selection of classic Grand Theft Auto games, from beloved entries like San Andreas to Vice City. Between GTA 3, Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, it felt like the Rockstar sandbox game never could and never would put a free-roaming foot wrong. But then came GTA Definitive Edition. Over a year since Grand Theft Auto DE launched, we're still waiting on bug fixes from Rockstar (and maybe a Red Dead Redemption 2 update, while they're at it). Nevertheless, GTA Definitive Edition is now on the Epic Games Store, after its recent arrival on Steam. It's still buggy, but it's going for cheap, so might be worth another try as we wait - and wait - for the GTA 6 release date. Read the rest

Despite the GTA trilogy's Definitive Edition finally making it onto Steam, the amount of bugs and glitches have left Rockstar's classic sandbox game series in a rough spot. Rockstar launching GTA Definitive Edition on Steam felt like a chance to give the sandbox game collection a new lease of life, a second wind. Despite a 50% discount however, the remasters of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas are struggling to find a substantive player base on Valve's platform, as many of the bugs and visual issues that hampered the original launch of Definitive Edition remain in the re-release. If you want more Grand Theft Auto, you may just want to wait until the GTA 6 release date. Read the rest of the story... RELATED LINKS: GTA Definitive Edition hits Steam and Steam Deck

Rockstar have brought Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition to Steam more than a year after its disastrous launch. GTA Trilogy was originally released as a Rockstar Store exclusive, and packages together GTA III (the first 3D one), GTA: Vice City (the best one), and GTA: San Andreas (the one with CJ in it). The collection’s arrival on Steam replaces the original versions of each game on the storefront, and coincides with a publisher sale that ends February 2nd. Read more
