Hello Commanders! https://i.imgur.com/nTpKlJu.gif Patch 1.1 is now live! In this first update we focused on fixing progression-blocking issues as well as server crashes and timeouts in multiplayer. Our top priority is still to make sure everyone has a stable experience. We also made numerous balance changes, targeting all three factions. My default response when I see a Warhammer fantasy game is, "Oh, another Warhammer fantasy game." So it was with the release of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground a few days ago. Then a friend explained that it was a turn-based strategy game about combining your units' abilities in careful ways, to shove and ensnare your enemies. Like Into The Breach but with ghosts and chaos gods, maybe? In any case, it's out now and I'm going to give it a go. Read more

Six years ago Games Workshop expanded their venerable Warhammer Fantasy Battle wargame by introducing the new, sexy Age of Sigmar. Out went the quasi-medieval Old World with its blocks of grubby foot knights, in came the multi-dimensional Mortal Realms and shiny, superhuman Stormcast Eternals. It had a warm reception - by which I mean one guy was so disgusted he set a thousand dollar model collection on fire - but six years is long enough for new blood to discover and adopt the setting. There's less than 24 hours to go before Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground hits Steam, but you can now watch about 16 mins worth of new footage from the game thanks to a new, last-minute developer video. The turn-based strategy game set in the rather maligned Sigmar setting looks kind of neat. The strategy isn’t grand at all. Focus Home Interactive has released 15 minutes of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground gameplay. The gameplay, which you can see in the video below, is narrated by game director Jeff Lydell and design director Ian Christy from developer Gasket Games. We see a small group of Stormcast Eternals during a mid-to-late battle of the campaign against a modest Nighthaunt army. The Stormcast Eternals' numbers are few, so Lydell makes smart use of his units' skills as well as knowledge of the environment (pushback, high ground bonuses, lethal hazards etc) to win the assasination mission.
