All the 0.1 builds got our local multiplayer up and running, and 0.2 introduces a single player campaign for those that prefer to play alone. With today’s update, our demo players have 3 levels to try with three difficulties to choose from to help you learn the ropes. Another update will be coming soon to add some dialogue and other polish. See the new minion in action here. The eighth and final minion class is here! The Punk is a combat unit that punches well above his weight. His Roll ability lets hims cut through lines of minions, dealing damage to any enemies you can line up, and providing a little extra mobility. Split Strike is the main reason I wanted to squeeze him in before calling the minion roster done. It deals damage equal to half your target's HP, rounded up. So the bigger they are, the harder it hits! Other fixes and changes in 0.1.5: Redistributed the minion loadouts for extra variety. Smarter AI is now smarter. C

Another update for the demo today: all maps have been tweaked, and the 4 player map is completely new! The tweaks mostly center around a new tile type called the Springboard Barrier: an indestructible, permanent crowdsurfing space. Use it for cover, then hop right over when you're ready to fight. Don't forget to wishlist if you like what you're playing! There's also a new dev video you can watch here, showcasing some of the new maps that our beta testers just got access to.

I've updated the HG:R demo with a new feature just added to our closed beta: Captain's Gambits! These are super moves you can use when you're losing to help catch up. Here's a rundown of each demo captain's new power: Bjorgolf: Cold Make Stop – Freeze an opponent for a turn. Grim Drake: No Mercy – Readies all cooldowns and lets moved units go again. Hexpert: Glitch – Add 3 to any unit’s health, even above their usual max. Penny Miser: Take a Penny – 1 damage to all enemies. Violet: Smackdown – Reduces any minion to 1HP. Does anyone remember Greed Corp? It’s a neat digital board game about harvesting the earth beneath your feet in order to destroy your enemies, and hoping they’re the ones who wind up in the abyss.
