I've been wanting to write about the development of Promesa for quite some time, and now that it's been 1 year since the release of Promesa, I hope that this initial "birthday" post will help me to finally start writing. CUCCCHI is a game I've been working on since the release of Promesa. It was made on commission for Fantastico Studio and the Enzo Cucchi Archive, who asked me to create a videogame inspired by the imaginary of italian painter Enzo Cucchi. The nature of this project is completely different from Promesa, and while it's pretty crazy visually, it also has more traditional game elements in it. Check the steam page to find out more!

Game update: I have added 3 different walk speed options, which means that now it's possible to play Promesa with a slightly faster pace. I think that the walk speed in Promesa sets a tone and a flow for the experience, but since the slow pace can be too much for some, I decided to enable some flexibility. With this update also comes a french translation! Thanks to Martina Dell'Utri, Catalina Pita Fort and Gaia Scandella for taking care of it. Promesa is coming to consoles! Promesa is now available in Russian! I'm happy to announce that thanks to Анастасия Мякинина and Сергей Николаев, Promesa got a new full translation. Steam Achievements I'm implementing a small number of Steam Achievements: pop-ups for these will appear only in the main menu or in the pause menu, so to not interrupt the flow of the experience. Most of the achievements are going to be quite basic (playing levels and going through all of them), but some of them are going to be more interesting. You can already see the list of achievements in the game page, but they are not implemented yet. I'm working on them now and they should be ready in a couple of days. Hope you'll enjoy them! Bug Fixing Today I uploaded a new mac build to match the windows one that was already up to date. - Fixed weird colliders issues in a scene - Fixed ortographic errors in the spanish texts (ːsteamfacepalmː) - Fixed minor sound bugs - And other minor things here and there. In this 15 minutes short demo of Promesa, you'll be able to explore a couple of scenes from the game, chosen at random with each playthrough. Between one scene and the other, you'll read short texts: the fragments of a conversation between a grandfather and his grandchild. Promesa doesn't have a traditional story, but it creates a narrative flow between the dialogues and the memories and dreams evoked in the scenes. The demo can get you a good sense of what to expect from a full playthrough. The full game releases on October 15th!
