Hi! New bug fixes and improvements. It includes tweak and gameplay adjustments, Vertical axis invertion option for mouse or pad (yes!) Cheers, Paper Beast Team --- Patch Notes --- Controls: Add an option to control menu to invert the vertical axis for mouse and pad. SandBox: - Fix Bridger behaviour that can be stuck in front of Voraxo. - Allow entities to reproduce more that palette limit per entity. - Bridgers, Papyvorus, Predators, insects can reproduce 2 or 3 entities at a time if population is high. Chapter 3.4: Make sure player have enough "Bridger" in any situation

Paper Beast ‘s folded menagerie should be right up my alley. Unfortunately, for the time being, Eric Chahi’s wonderful sandbox has been locked behind pricey, clunky VR headsets. Thankfully, Pixel Reef today released Paper Beast: Folded Edition, flattening the digital wilderness into something you and I can play on our non-head-mounted screens. (more…)

I’ve not paid much attention to Paper Beast, the latest god game from Eric Chahi of From Dust fame, because it’s been confined to VR goggles. Something about exploring a weird world inside the Internet, discovering an ecosystem of digilife and using godlike powers to change the landscape? Sounds grand. I will now start paying attention, because developers Pixel Reef today announced they’re making a non-VR version. Paper Beast: Folded Edition is its name, and launching on October 20th is its game. Independent studio Pixel Reef led by Eric Chahi (Another World, From Dust) announced their new game Paper Beast: Folded Edition, that will be coming to PC on 20th October! The game is based on this years VR hit Paper Beast and opens up the surprising adventure that features a fantastic game world, with a real-time ecosystem filled with bizarre creatures and wildlife, up to PC players (no VR headset required).
