I’m Willem, Pompom’s developer. Pompom is a project that grew out of the GMTK Jam in 2018 where it was ranked 13th out of more than a 1000 games. I’m a solo developer, and I created all of the art, code and design. The 90's was my favorite era for games. Back then, they were made with smaller teams in quicker time frames, with more experimentation, and less of a focus on modern game design concepts like “the game play loop” and more of a design ethos simply built around what was fun or interesting. Join us on a stream where we share anecdotes and behind the scenes about the development of Pompom: The Great Space Rescue. About the Stream : Stream will Start with Main Developer Willem Rosenthal will host a stream of the game and talk about development stories on the Steam page of the game. Then, Bruno Leni, the artist who made the in-game cutscene art and cover art plays and talks about his experience and inspirations working on the game’s cutscenes. Finally, Lead Product Manager Alexandre Lemieux will cast more casual gameplay and share his gamer feeling about the game vibe.
