A build is one published version of the game's files on a branch. Steam assigns a new build ID every time the developer pushes an update, so this list is the update history of the app. The files inside a build (depot manifests) are only readable with an account that owns the game, which SteamRaw does not have yet, so build contents are not shown.

At this point I've put over 8 years into VGM, starting way back when it was a game about building your own game studio. Unfortunately, a lot can change in one's life over 8 years, and I'm faced with the reality that my free-time has dried up. I simply don't have the available energy to get The Video Game Machine over the finish line. The gulf between where it is and where it needs to be for a proper v1.0 release is substantial. Add i

Greetings! With the launch of VGM Beta 1 behind us, it's officially time to start talking about the future. I have a loose lineup of Beta releases planned, all leading up to an official release in (hopefully) mid-2024. This may seem like a long way off, but in the world of game development, time has a bad habit of compressing and evaporating. Put simply: every week is precious. While I work on my current task list for Beta 2, I'd like to open the floor to feedback! What are you liking about the current build? What are the next features you'd like to see added? Any bugs or obvious issues that h

So you want to make Video Games? It's the dream of many, but the time commitments (and coding requirements) are enough to scare off many potential creators….until now! The Video Game Machine reduces the creation process down to three clicks: What is your Genre? Who is your Hero? What is the name of your game? VGM does the rest, using template levels to stitch together an adventure you can instantly enjoy. And if you want to alter or improve what was generated, you have full access to an in-game editor, letting you get as creative as you want! In the vein of other 'Maker' style games, you can c
