I am closing down Lonely Ocelot and as such, removing this game from the Steam store. Thanks to everyone that has bought this game. Anyone who has purchased the game, will still be able to play it. I hope you've enjoyed playing it.
Scores have been enabled for "endless" modes. Scores from endless mode will count towards achievements. You can now toggle letter hints on/off without having to start a new game. This can be done through the in-game options menu (press esc during any game). The letters in all tiles are now bigger and easier to read. Mouse cursor has changed to fit with theme. If there are any new features that you'd like to see, or you experience any bugs, please post on the steam discussion page.
Fixed some long standing bugs: Fixed multiple instances where the given clues were incorrect when there were duplicate letters in either the submitted word or the word to crack. Now, the following will happen: If the submitted word has letters that occur more than once (e.g. FEET), and the word to crack only has it once (e.g. FEAT), then only one letter (the first occurrence) from the submitted word will be highlighted. This one is really frustrating, and I apologise for the instances where this would make you want to not play. When asked to 'press any key' between rounds, if a letter is press
Resolution support for greater than 1080p has been added* *I don't own a monitor with a resolution greater than 1080p, so I'm hoping this works. If it doesn't work, please let me know. If it makes the game unplayable, you will be able to adjust your screen resolution back to normal in your save file. Here are the default resolution settings. You will find these under . Letter hints will now update to the correct colour in instances where the letter exists in the word but was in the wrong position, and has subsequently been submitted in the correct position.
Repositioned letter hints so that they don't overlap with 6 letter words. Fixed a bug where the game wouldn't end in casual mode. Repositioned the end game results in casual mode for 5/10 word games.
Added letter hints to the casual game mode. Enabling this option will show you used letters, and whether or not they have been found in the correct position or not. Updated the light mode font colour to make it easier to read.
New Game Modes Competitive Play against other players and see who can get the highest score out of 5 words. Guessing the word in fewer guesses nets you more points. Guesses are time limited, so don't take too long! Will you crack under the pressure, or come out on top? Casual Choose your word length and just get cracking those words.
