With games like Metal Gear Solid 5 and Splinter Cell, it's easy to think of stealth games as expansive, even bombastic affairs. The proliferation of open world stealth has meant an increased interest in massive toolsets and complex level layouts. That kind of clockwork design can be incredibly thrilling, just look at Hitman World of Assassination. But even the most elaborate games cannot forget the thrill of waiting in the shadows for the right moment to strike. Hey All, During the course of the development of the Remastered Edition we fixed up several bugs that we came across. We brought these fixes over to the classic edition of the game as well for those who want to play the classic version. For those who want to use the unpatched version of classic Mark of the Ninja, we have another branch that you can use. Simply right click on Mark of the Ninja in your game library and choose "properties" - select the "beta" tab and choose the "original" branch from the dropdown menu. I hardly ever revisit singleplayer games, so the fact that I’ve snuck all the way through Mark Of The Ninja two and a half times should tell you something. One and a half of those times actually involved just as much stabbing and shuriken tossing as sneaking, but shh. I say this because Mark Of The Ninja: Remastered has slunk out of the shadows, boasting prettier visuals, snazzier sound, and the extra items and level from the Special Edition DLC. The stealthy murder game Mark of the Ninja is really good, but it's also getting up there in years. To address that, Klei announced back in March that a remastered version was in the works and would be out later this year. Now we've got a more properly detailed look at what the updated version will deliver, and a release date of October 9.  The new version of the game will include the Dosan's Tale DLC that was released for the 2013 Special Edition of the game, which adds a new character, level, items, and developer commentary. Klei Entertainment have announced that Mark Of The Ninja: Remastered, the revamped rerelease of their rad stealth-o-murder-a-platformer from 2012, will launch on October 9th. It’ll boast high-resolution art and improved sound but still be the same fine game at heart, and accordingly won’t be expensive for folks who got Mark Of The Ninja on Steam the first time around. Klei have said that those who got its Special Edition DLC back in the day, which cost 4/$5, will get Remastered for free. Mark of the Ninja: Remastered will freshen up one of our all-time favorite stealth games later this year, developer Klei Entertainment announced.  A standout even among Klei Entertainment's sterling repertoire, Mark of the Ninja originally released in 2012, and while its cartoony art has aged well, Klei reckons it could do with a tune-up. So for the remaster, they're targeting "fully redone 4K visuals for both gameplay and cutscenes along with enhanced audio and new particle effects." Swell side-scrolling stealth game Mark Of The Ninja is being snazzed up for the release of a ‘Remastered’ edition. The game is largely hidden in the shadows for now, but developers Klei Entertainment say it “will feature fully redone 4K visuals for both gameplay and cutscenes along with enhanced audio and new particle effects”.
