Unity messed up and now we all need to do an update.
Open Fishing XL is an open world fishing game focused on creating a relaxing experience. Fill out a book with 115 fish species, buy rods, items, boats and more, explore the large map, identify cute insects, draw your own map, and enjoy fishing without worries with intuitive fishing mechanics.

Multiplayer Update!

I've added multiplayer! Now you can fish with your Steam friends. Make sure you're pals can see the game you're playing and you're not set to invisible for it to work. Changelog: Added multiplayer Fixed a couple of bugs (I forgot which)

I just added American Mode! Essentially it's a Kilos to Pounds converter. Let me know if I missed any conversions. I also made the fish on hook sound a lot louder since people were having trouble hearing it.
Announcing an alpha version of Open Fishing: AFK Edition

I've made a small game which is basically Open Fishing XL but as a board game. It doesn't exactly have a board but there isn't really a better word for the kind of game it is. It's just a series of text and pdf documents at the moment but it's really fun and vibes very similarly to the Open Fishing XL. Added steam cloud saves! Be careful where you next open your game!

Howdy, I just added cloud saves which can potentially mess up save data if you say open your game on your steam deck but your main save is on your PC it could overwrite it. If you want to be extra sure your saves are secure back them up by copying the data in this folder somewhere else: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Kunstaat\Open Fishing XL I hope this addition makes the game more convenient to play!
Patch adding a flashlight button because of community feedback.

Howdy, I'm sick! This patch was supposed to include another feature but it's missing since I got sick and didn't want to keep +Jones waiting for the tiny feature they asked for. There now is a button to turn on and off the flashlight with F or Right Stick Click.

Howdy, I got bored one day after learning how to model trees better and now I'm here to show you the new graphics of Open Fishing XL. I hope you like them and if not, no problem you can go back to the way it was using the steam betas. Process to return to old graphics: Open the properties by right clicking on Open Fishing XL in your steam library Go to betas and select the Old Graphics beta from the drop down. Now update and boot the game and graphics should return to normal! As always please let me know of any bugs.

Howdy, I've decided to turn on the Steam Awards button just to be sure I don't loose out on marketing visibility. I honestly have no hopes of actually winning an award (the game simply isn't popular enough) but it might do something for sales so more people can have fun with the game ːcaveblazersheartː (also I make more money). I also want to thank the community for all the support during development and all the awesome stuff (and bug fixes) I've been able to do because of this. The biggest fish achievement was previously broken, changed one string and now it should work. Note: Haven't tested this but it should work now. If not let me know on the steam community or the discord.

Howdy, I've made a quick update for Halloween that adds some horror environmental details and post processing. Hope you'll enjoy the spooks! There used to be a bug with the keep nets that locked you onto that screen if you overfilled them. Now I've added a cap to the amount of fish you can put in that bug is fixed! Happy fishing!

Howdy, just here to say I've added a sensitivity slider to the game as suggested by some folks on the discord. Currently only effects mouse movement so controllers will have to deal with the default sensitivity. If this is a problem for you please tell me on the steam community or community discord.
