Red Thread Games, the Norwegian developer behind Dreamfall Chapters and Draugen, has revealed a brand new game called Dustborn. It's a storied, single-player action adventure about a black lady called Pax who recruits and leads a group of misfit friends with weird powers on a road-trip across the Divided States of America (that's how it's referred to). UPDATE: Due to miscommunication on our behalf, we neglected to fix a bug that affects the Russian language version of the game. This bug blocks progress when playing with Russian subtitles. The only workaround right now is to switch to English or another language. We are currently working on a fix and expect to patch very soon. This one's been on the beta branch for a while, but we're finally bringing the long-awaited Russian translation (subtitles only) to the main branch! At the start of the year we brought you the news that Dreamfall Chapters' "Final Cut" update would arrive this March—'March' being a word that here means, apparently, 'July'. OK so it's a bit late, but you can now play Red Thread Games' five-part episodic adventure with enhanced art and sound effects, improved performance, and a few other pleasant additions, and that's not bad at all for a free update, now is it? The final episode of Dreamfall Chapters may have arrived in June 2016–also tolling the end of The Longest Journey–but developers Red Thread Games aren’t done with their adventure game quite yet.
