Update 1.04: Added a handful of steam achievements. Not a huge amount yet. They do actually take a little bit of time to implement. :) Lasers now go through shields. Makes sense if you think about it. The shields are transparent, after all. Although the main reason is due to balance, as the lasers felt a little weak and needed a niche.
Update 1.03 New native biome, with native flora. Also comes with its own game mode. Explore and find a cow that has gotten lost, then roll her back to the truck. May not be as simple as it seems. ;) Expected game modes are now listed when selecting difficulty/day. Added dialogue bubbles with text to go along with voice lines.
Added Heavy Turrets. Available in variants with all the heavy weapons that players can use. Beware though, they turn slowly, so optimal placement is important for effective use. Turrets are now cooldown based instead of a fixed count. This should allow players to use them more freely where enemies come in waves, or when on the move, without having to worry about wasting them. Added a range indicator effect to the tesla coil when no targets are near enough to trigger the cooldown. The tesla coil also got a slight visual enhancement. Adjusted the difficulty curve to be more forgiving, especially if you are playing alone. There are generally fewer aliens in the earlier days, and they ramp up a little later than before. Also reduced the frequency of the more difficult alien types. Like the shield alien, and the bombard alien. Starting level for new players is now 1 instead of 0. This should prevent the default missile launcher from appearing as an unlocked reward when the player already has it.
SwarmSign 1.0 is now available! Time to show those bugs what's what! While there is still a lot of cool stuff I would like to add, all the planned features are in place and we can't find any more bugs(except for the alien ones), so we are releasing version 1.0! Note that the difficulty scale is a little harder than originally intended. Especially when playing alone, as flanking becomes harder to achieve.
