After this release we will focus on releasing Krita 5.3.0, the next feature release, and Krita 6.0.0, the first release based on Qt6. \ Note for users of keyboards with more than 12 function keys. Hey all, super quick update! Some Krita 5.2.5 users were running into a bad crash, and this bug was occurring enough that we decided it would be best to do a hotfix release with the appropriate fix. As such, we're releasing Krita 5.2.6 as a hotfix patch for 5.2.5's crashing problem, and we're publishing it here on Steam even before the official update so that those of you who get automatic updates are not inadvertently exposed to crashes when working. Krita 5.2.5 is here, bringing over 50 bugfixes since 5.2.3 (5.2.4 was a Windows-specific hotfix). Major fixes have been done to audio playback, transform mask calculation and more! Hi again Krita community, I have a small (but important) update for Linux users. We've fixed Krita on the Flatpak version of Steam! Now, to give a bit of a technical explanation for anyone who cares, Krita is normally distributed on Linux in a portable application format called "AppImage". Since we brought Krita to Steam for Linux, it's been just the same, distributed through Steam as an AppImage. For the majority of Steam users on Linux this has worked just fine, but an increasing number of Linux users have started opting to download Steam itself as in a different, portable containerized form
Hi there. I just want to let everybody know that we've been informed that some Linux (Flatpak) users are having issues running Krita through Steam at the moment. I'm in the process of trying to find out what went wrong and I'll let you all know as soon as it's fixed. UPDATE: This problem appears to only be affecting Linux users who have Steam installed through Flatpak. It seems like the Krita AppImage will fail to mount while inside the Flatpak container environment. However, there is a workaround, because you can still launch the AppImage that Steam gives you from outside of Steam (either usi
