Microsoft has announced new games coming to Xbox Game Pass during what's left of April. As announced, the PlayStation Studios-developed MLB The Show 21 launches on Xbox Game Pass today for console and cloud (there's no PC version). It's got cross-platform play, too, so Xbox players can play with friends on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. On 22nd April, Xbox Game Pass on PC gets puzzle game Phogs!. Read more

Over the many years since Fable: The Lost Chapters was launched, nuggets of information have bubbled up giving us an idea of content that never made it into the finished version. For example, the RPG game's fans have posted clips revealing animals, creatures, animations, and other features lurking in its datafiles - and now, a modder is aiming to make a whole bunch of that content playable. Good and evil is barely the start of it, frankly. Fable is one of those rare, fascinating game series upon which nobody can really seem to agree about anything for very long. Sad news, mostly because a studio with some serious heritage looks set to be closed down, but partly because said studio never had a chance to set out its own identity following the departure of founder Peter Molyneux. Lionhead was what the co-creator of Populous, Theme Park, Syndicate and Dungeon Keeper did after Bullfrog (with the help of dozens of talented colleagues), and while it was always a divisive studio the ambition and exuberance it showed in the Black & White and Fable games will be sorely missed.
