This week we were focused on the quality and health of the game, as well as adding the "Solo Darklands" which makes PvP combat in the Darklands limited to 1v1 on select servers. Solo DarklandsWe want players to partake and have a fair chance in the Darklands even if they're playing solo. To address this, we are enabling "Solo Darklands" on Server 1. Solo Darklands will have some draw backs to its normal counter part in order to encourage groups to still play together on normal servers. Note on PvP ChangesDarklands update is coming with a bunch of new items and we want to clarify our intentions with our design up front. We don't want PvE only players to feel forced into PvP so we took great care in our design to ensure that they don't miss out on any important or meta items by refusing to partake. The new items coming are designed to meaningfully equivalent to existing items with extra bonuses when used in the Darklands. We are very excited for todays massive update, smithing is getting overhauled to add more depth and to tie into future skills. Along with this we are releasing high level mining and smithing content in the new abandoned dwarven mining outpost. This of course means new armour set!Smithing ReworkSmithing recipes reworked, anvil is now used to process metals and a new workbench is for making equipment.Most recipes now require cloth or leather as base. The smithing rework is releasing this weekend! We aren't releasing the Smithing rework this week as it isn't quite ready yet, but we are instead releasing Resource Backpacks. These will allow you to collect a lot more resources before needing to take a trip to the bank.Resource BackpacksAdded two new resource backpacks. Fish crate and Ore sack.
