The Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have been delisted. As predicted on ResetEra, both games are now unavailable to buy from Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Game Store. On 26th July 2016, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 were re-released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While not the greatest of games to begin with, and reportedly wonky at launch, the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance series of superhero action-RPGs is no longer available on Steam, most likely due to licensing deals expiring and changing hands. While store pages for the two are still up, the Activision-published dynamic duo can no longer be bought or searched for on Steam. (more…)

For a 32 re-release of a decade-old game, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance was in a right sorry state when the minimally-revamped version hit Steam in July, and its sequel wasn’t in much better shape. MUA didn’t recognise Xbox controller buttons correctly, sound crackled, and none of the first game’s DLC characters were included. For 30, I’d expect proper definitive editions of the superhero action-RPGs. Heck, I’d hope for full remakes. At the very least, I’d want a working game. If you’re going to re-release a decade-old game as new for 32, it had better be one heck of a revamp.
