Walk a darker Brazil and uncover the creatures its folklore keeps in the deep forest, monsters most players have never seen. A roguelike deckbuilder: summon spirits onto a four-lane ritual board, sacrifice your own to pay for what comes next, and seal each one into your grimoire.

A build is one published version of the game's files on a branch. Steam assigns a new build ID every time the developer pushes an update, so this list is the update history of the app. The files inside a build (depot manifests) are only readable with an account that owns the game, which SteamRaw does not have yet, so build contents are not shown.

Hello Hunters!Thank you to everyone still filing reports. Every line below came from one of you.Status since the August 28 build: six new things opened, one fixed, and nothing we had already fixed has come back.FixedShadows from Beyond no longer carries its effect into the next fight or the next run. There is a longer explanation at the bottom if you want it.A softlock when you drew a card during a block animation. This one lands with the next build.Still openThe tutorial freezes at the sacrifice step. Last time we said we could not reproduce it. Now we can. It happens on the second turn. The t

Hello Hunters! This has probably happened to you. You wake up in the dark. You are awake. And you cannot move anything. In Brazil that has a name, and she has been up on your roof the whole time. The legendShe spends the whole night watching you from a distance. What she looks like changes from region to region, so nobody agrees on her shape. What everyone agrees on is that at night you are never alone. You have probably had her visit. You wake up. You are conscious. And nothing moves. It does not last a fixed amount of time. Seconds, or an hour. And they say she eats the fear, so the more frightene

Hello Hunters!Friday's buildWe spent this month rebuilding how the map gets generated, and it was the most argued-about decision of the month by a distance. Three disciplines at once: design writing the rules, engineering refactoring the old system out from under them, and tech art making the visuals update themselves off the generated data instead of being placed by hand. The rules came out in two kinds, and that split is where the arguments were. Some exist for balance. Others exist only so the shape of the map is interesting to walk through. Those two pull against each other constantly. What

Hello Hunters! There is a Carranca in the corner of the board. It is the thing you have probably already clicked to end your turn. Today we tell you what it is.The legendOn the boats that crossed the São Francisco, there was a face fixed to the prow.Cedar and imburana, the resistant woods, or hand shaped clay. Wide eyes. Open mouth. Teeth showing. Human traits and animal traits put together on purpose so it reads as neither. The people who carve them are called carranqueiros. The wooden ones get painted in strong colour, the clay ones stay rough. The Carranca kept the bad on the outside of the b

Hello Hunters!A few things about the build in this playtest.First, thank you. You found bugs we had not found. You found others on the way. And you sent us ideas about what to improve, which is the whole reason the playtest exists. A lot has changed because of you. What is brokenThe Amulet Craftsman can soft lock your save. Leave to the main menu during the card sacrifice animation and the run can come back in a state the game cannot load. Restarting does not help, because the save lives outside the game folder.Workaround, already in Discord: delete current_run.json in AppData\\LocalLow\\Defaul

He hunts the hunters.CAPELOBO.The legendHe is told in Amazonas, Maranhão and Pará. Folklorists sometimes call him the werewolf of the north, which is close but misses the part that matters. He does not turn into a wolf and stop there. He is a wolf that also becomes a giant anteater. The snout comes forward, the mouth disappears, and what is left is a face built for reaching inside things. He hunts hunters. He kills them and drinks the blood. In the tellings there is exactly one way to kill him back, and it is to hit him in the navel. The name is probably indigenous. Capê, which means broken bo

Hello Hunters,The second build lands July 31, and the map is the big change. The run now crosses more than one part of Brazil.Up to now you were in the Norte. That is where the Capelobo lives, in the tellings and in our game. The new region is the Sudeste, and it sits on the other end of the country and does not share the same fears. That distinction matters more than it sounds. Brazil is not one folklore, it is many, and they do not agree with each other. A creature that everyone in one state grew up hearing about is unheard of six states away. Putting real distance in the run is how that stop

The first playtest did its job. You found the Capelobo fight that could softlock, the turn one where you empty your hand and then wait, and the run that played too easy right up until the Wolf. We wrote all of it down. The second build is bigger and more balanced. More to play, a difficulty curve that actually climbs, and the fixes you asked for. It drops July 31.Signups are open now. Hello Hunters!Three days in Brasília. Over 2,000 people at the event. 500+ audio recordings. We debuted the first build at a booth at the Brasília Game Festival. A lot of people played Obscurium for the first time. Every session ended with questions to figure out if we were on the right track. The tutorial confuses before it teaches. The act 1 curve climbs too fast. Both are in the backlog now. What worked: the creatures stayed in people's heads after the session ended.Folk horror doesn't need to scream. We're now opening the playtest on FirstLook for anyone who wasn't at the event.
