Have You Played? is an endless stream of game retrospectives. One a day, every day, perhaps for all time. The Turing Test is an experiment where you determine if an AI can pass itself off as human. You get a person to talk to computers and humans, over text, and see if they can determine which is which. The idea is interesting, but flawed. It’s the weekend, or at least after work-hours for most on a Friday, so might as well pick up something to demolish your free time. Oh my goodness, if The Turing Test could have existed in a world that had never seen Portal nor The Talos Principle, it would be lauded, famous beyond belief. Then again, in a world without Portal and The Talos Principle, Bulkhead Interactive would never have made The Turing Test, so it s a little academic. Hi all, The team have once again been working hard to resolve a major issue some of you were experiencing. Please see the notes from the develoepers below for more information: AMD CPU issue fix has been implemented, which appears to fix the problem on our end. However, we'd appriciate if you let us know if you are still experiencing issues after this update. Console has been implemented that allows unlocking of fps. Please use the tilde key to access. You will need to turn VSYNC off and then use t.maxfps 120 to set the max to 120. NOTE: UE4 has a max FPS cap of 120 in the engine, so you can't

It’s hard not to watch the latest trailer for The Turing Test and see all the stark parallels between Portal and The Talos Principle. A science fiction first-person game where a robot sidekick guides you through various chambers full of puzzles with themes of transhumanism? Still, despite those on-the-sleeve inspirations, I can’t help but feel drawn in by The Turing Test’s atmosphere and heavy philosophical rumblings. And late last week, a new release trailer revealed that we won’t have to wait too much longer, as The Turing Test is due out on August 30. …
