Team17 hasn't had the best start to 2022. It tried to jump on the NFT bandwagon, got booed, and immediately jumped off the bandwagon—but not before covering itself in the manure onboard. Indie label Team17 has announced an end to its MetaWorms NFT initiative, following public backlash from both players and development partners. The company now says it will "step back from the NFT space".
