Bruce Lee is in Hitman now. Unfortunately, you don’t get to play as him. Fortunately, you do not have to fight him. Oh, don’t look at me like that, Agent 47. You might be the last word in swatting people with Wet Floor signs, but I’ve yet to see you perform a credible one-inch punch. Perhaps you’d get the drop on Bruce Lee if you threw up on him after swallowing an irradiated carbon rod, but I don’t fancy your chances in the context of a proper Bangkok martial arts tournament - like the one depicted in Hitman’s latest Elusive Target mission, the Dragon. Get this - Conor McGregor, yeah the loud Irish guy of MMA and, er, other stuff fame is coming to Hitman World of Assasination as Agent 47 next big elusive target. I bet the bald guy'd be scared too, if he didn't have access to guns that kind of make it a bit pointless having a lethal rear naked choke. Yep, as announced by Io Interactive, McGregor himself will be arriving in the big amalgamation of most recent Hitman games between today, June 27, and July 29. The long-awaited Freelancer mode for Hitman 3 goes live later this month, tasking the world’s blandest professional killer with taking down nefarious organisations one target at a time. To prepare for Freelancer’s launch on January 26th, devs IO Interactive have shared a new trailer that’s essentially just the mission briefing your Agent 47 will see when he begins his bloodthirsty roguelike quest. I don't mean to brag, but I'm pretty good at Hitman. I've got all sorts of level masteries, possess loads of exploding doodads, and can reliably bang out a Silent Assassin rating on any map from the recent games. At least, that's what I thought until about 45 minutes ago, when I began watching the entries for a $1000 Hitman 2 speedrun challenge, created and hosted by a YouTuber named Atrioc. IO Interactive has announced a change is coming to Hitman 3. According to the developer, the Hitman series will be streamlined and henceforth be known as Hitman World of Assassination. The change will affect how both existing and new Hitman players access, experience, and purchase the Hitman trilogy. As of January 26, Hitman 3 will change to Hitman World of Assassination and include Hitman and Hitman 2 through the existing Access Pass system. Read more

It's a big day for splendid sandbox stealth stabber Hitman 3, now entering its second year of content and support. The developers, Io Interactive are going hard out the gate by adding the new Elusive Target Arcade mode and bringing VR support to PC. It's also ending Epic exclusivity today, hitting not only Steam but Game Pass too, with the full trilogy coming to Microsoft's subscription service. Busy busy. Read more

Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus games for September, and what's included should come as no surprise. As was leaked earlier this week, the games are Overcooked: All You Can Eat, Predator: Hunting Grounds, and Hitman 2. All You Can Eat contains both Overcooked, Overcooked 2, and all additional content together in one package and remastered for what's being called the definitive edition. In the game, you can enjoy campaign, survival and practice modes, and the new assist mode. Read more

We're just a day or two away from Sony officially revealing the PlayStation Plus line-up for September, but some have leaked it early. According to a post on French deals site Dealabs, PlayStation Plus members can look forward to three free games in September. As always, one of those is a native PS5 title. In this case, that's Overcooked All You Can Eat, a fifth anniversary collection that includes both Overcooked games and their DLC. The bundle also adds new content, and remasters old levels for new consoles. Read more

Assassination experts Io Interactive booted their latest murder man game out the door and are now proudly announcing that Hitman 3, despite some server issues in its first few days, has already recouped its development costs. Folks seem to have having a grand old time in Ian Hitman's latest adventure, which hopefully only spells good news for that James Bond game the studio is set to work on next. Read more

Ian Hitman’s current trilogy of sandbox stealth-o-murder games wraps up today with Hitman 3, which launched just a few minutes ago. As he fights a vast conspiracy, he’ll do murders in new levels everywhere from England to Dubai, and get into a few of his trademark daft situations. One mission is just a murder mystery potentially starring Ian, an actual murderer, as the detective.
