Sometimes we get too busy to post everywhere and everything (and sometimes we just forget) so here's the new features in v2.30 and v2.31 Portals Between Sketches https://raw.githubusercontent.com/icosa-foundation/open-brush-docs/master/.gitbook/assets/017%20Portals.png Portals are new shape widgets that let you link one sketch to another. Add a portal from the Sketchbook, place and resize it in your scene, and use it to connect separate Open Brush creations. Portals are currently spherical, with more control over their appearance planned for the future. Create Camera Paths by Drawing or Flying

A much requested feature is the ability to see thumbnails of your sketches in Windows Explorer. We've just released an Explorer extension that enables this. It's currently available for download on our Itch.io page (the last item in the download list). Please let us know if you have any problems with it!

Room owners can mute, kick out set other users to "view only" mode. This release has support for paint and eraser tools in multiplayer. We will gradually add support for other tools and features over time. Cross platform, free and open source forever.

In some cases a sketch would fail to load (if the top layer only had reference images on it and no brush strokes). This fixes that by moving them to the main layer. A proper fix will be in the next formal release.

Features Bundled "Featured Sketches" Since Google Poly closed down, the immediate access to some examples by talented artists was sorely missed. So we've added some of the classics back in. We have big plans for sharing and viewing artwork so this is just the start. Add a button in Setting to switch handedness Previously the only way to do this was to tap the bottom of the controllers together. This wasn't easy to discover and was unreliable when using some controllers. We've kept that in but added a nice clear button the app settings. 2.1 is a bugfixes only release. We're looking forward to bringing new features to Open Brush soon! Enable WMR default controller profile. Fix saving after deleting a layer. Fix swapping camera modes when using a Vive controller. Smoother scrolling on Vive controller touchpads. Fix advanced tools panel overlapping other panels. Known Issues: Sometimes Open Brush fails to launch depending on the specific combinations of user's HMD, controller Type, and OpenXR runtime.
