Kerberos Productions, the makers of Sword of the Stars, have released a new tabletop simulation game for the PC. Hoards of Glory is a Viking-themed strategy game of dice placement, economy and combat for 1-4 players. Playable by up to four friends via the Internet, it also offers a variety of AI opponents to fill in when human opponents are not available. Hoards of Glory is the first stand-alone simulation of a tabletop game that Kerberos has released. Kerberos Productions – creators of the Sword of the Stars 4X strategy series – may have a slightly patchy track record, but they’re a studio that’s never short on heart. This month, they’ve been Kickstarting funds to start a board games division, adapting their universes into dice-and-cardboard form. If you've recently fired up The Pit, you'll have noticed a small update and a new Main Menu screen... ...The Osmium Edition! And immediately you ask, "The what edition?" The Osmium Edition is our way of closing this chapter of The Pit series. A fancy name for a fancy Roguelike that we've enjoyed sharing with you these past four, nearly five, years (I know, right?) It's not just a name though. We added; - 9 new monsters - 1 new weapon - 1 new achievement - 2 new items - 1 new recipe ...and we fixed that annoying bug where the Time Hole moves the player, but does not actually display new level.
