The latest update of Pawn of the Dead is about comfort. The camera perspectives and FOVs have been updated to make the game easier to play in 3D.And we removed a redundant element from the UI: The info box that used to say where you clicked and the name of the selected piece.The demo has been updated, too. It has the aforementioned visual improvements and fixes a Unity-related security vulnerability.

The latest update addresses a serious Unity related security vulnerability. It was recently discovered that all Windows, MacOS, Linux and Android games made with Unity 2017 and later might have this security vulnerability. Unity released new editor versions that fixes it, but all affected games still need to be rebuilt with the recent editor. So Pawn of the Dead is re-built with recent Unity versions that fixes the vulnerability. Clown House 1 was updated yesterday, the rest of Aslan Game Studio games in Steam will be updated, too. macOS Pawn of the Dead supports Silicon processors (M1, M2, etc.) natively now. It could already run on Macs with Silicon processors before, though, this update is about performance upgrade. Linux Pawn of the Dead's Linux port is built with IL2CPP backend, it was Mono before. And Vulkan works better (you can use -force-vulkan parameter to open the game with that). This update is about performance, as well. Windows build didn't need any change.

Pawn of the Dead has a new game mode! In Queen vs Zombies, you control White Queen, Elona. Your purpose is to prevent the undead reach the other side of the board. You have a magical ability this time. For every 7 undead you kill with your sword, you gain power to instantly destroy enemies in vertical, horizontal and diagonal positions.
